What do I need to bring to residence?

You will need to provide your own:

• bed linen (including pillows)
• blankets/duvet
• towels
• iron
• kettle and coffee mug (kettle not needed at Oceana)

In self-catering residences only, will you require:

• cooking utensils (not needed at Post Graduate Student Village – South Campus)
• crockery and cutlery (not needed at Post Graduate Student Village – South Campus)
• Food

If you are not assigned to a self-catering residence you will be required to subscribe to the Meal Management System (MMS) as cooking in bedrooms in prohibited

You may bring the following, subject to certain restrictions:

• a small microwave oven* (subject to inspection for safety)
• TV set* (max size 54 cm - but beware - if the noise from your TV becomes a nuisance, the set may be confiscated until the end of the year)
• portable radio (beware of noise regulations)
• personal computer
• bar fridge
